Injection molder - lubricate clamp system

  1. Ensure there are no obstructions inside the chamber - should just be a couple aluminum blocks.
  2. Identify the "PUSH TO CLAMP" knob on the bottom left of the machine, and the locking lever underneath it
  3. Slide the lock lever to the right, then push the knob in to initiate clamping. Make a note of any jittering/seizing in the clamp mechanism.
  4. Pull the knob out to return the clamp to the rest position.

If there was jittering/seizing when clamping, apply a light amount of spindle to the three ports - one at the base of the middle bar, and one on either side of the drum towards the rear of the clamping assembly. Then repeat steps 1-4 several times to work the oil into the system.
