A belt grinder or "linisher" allows sanding, grinding, and polishing materials using a belt of abrasive material under tension. Our belt grinder is often used by our blacksmithing members to bevel corners, flatten or smooth rough marks, and point edges for knife blades.

A supply of sanding belts are provided by Protohaven for light use. Please note that excessive wear on belts falls under our [equipment damage policy](https://wiki.protohaven.org/books/policies/page/equipment-damage-policy "Equipment Damage Policy") and may incur extra fees.
