Pet Policy

Hazards to Pets 

 Protohaven is an active workshop that presents multiple hazards to animals, including: 

 

 Prolonged loud noises that damage sensitive hearing 

 Exposure to solvents and other chemicals through ingestion or inhalation 

 Sharp, hot, and other harmful debris and particulate matter on the floor which can quickly end up in an animal’s mouth 

 Sudden movement by members and materials which can stress or startle animals 

 

 Hazards to Members 

 Animals in the shop present an avoidable hazard to other members, as unpredictable behavior and loud noises presents a distraction from the dangers of using our equipment. 

 Pet Policy 

 We require members bringing pets to follow these rules: 

 

 Pets may only be brought to the outdoor areas of Protohaven; bringing your pet indoors is prohibited. 

 Pets must be accompanied and leashed at all times; you may not leave your pet unattended outside to work on projects indoors. 

 The pet must be cleaned up after, and waste disposed in the dumpster outside.
